Birger Haugdal

Birger is a dancer and DJ from Bergen, Norway.

“I play mostly traditional tangos from the golden age, and have more focus on rhythmical tangos than lyrical and dramatic tangos. I focus on flow and good energy on the floor, and give the dancers possibilities to develop their musicality.”

Birger has been DJing at milongas in Bergen since 2002 and in Norway and Sweden since 2006. He has accompanied dancers at various festivals in Bergen, Malmø, Stockholm, and Lisbon, at marathons in Sätra Bruun (Sweden), Berlin, and Oslo (2010) and milongas in Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm, and Berlin. He also took over responsibility for all the DJs at Bergen marathon 2008 and 2009.

Atle Bjørnar Birkeland

About me as a DJ:
I play mostly traditional tangos from the Golden Age and some Guardian Vieja. I could play some non-tango if I feel the moment is right. If I have any guiding principles it must be; well (to my ear) danceable music, right energy at the right time, creating a good flow. I mostly play the music in the structure of TTMTTV divided by Cortinas. I has been DJing reguarly at milongas in Bergen since 2008 and at various festivals/tangoweekends diffrent places in Norway the last years.

Bernt Andreas Drange

DJ Andrés started putting music in Bergen in 2007, with the aim of being better than the CD-s they usually used for dancing. His ambitions grew quickly - seeing how important the music was for the atmosphere and the enjoyment the dancers present showed.

He has been a resident DJ in Bergen ever since, in addition to experience from milongas, tango balls and tango marathons in several Norwegian cities, Copenhagen and Helsinki.

The music selection is mainly from the golden age, 1930s and 1940s, sometimes spiced up with something completely different. He is always watching the crowd intently, in the aim of keeping people on the floor - happy.

Anne Lise Bergem

anne lise is a tanguera, dancer and dj from Oslo,Norway.

I am quite classical in my taste when I play tango for dancing, so I mainly stick to a repertoir from Guardian Vieja and The Golden Age of Tango, with tango music of the orchestras that played in the 1930s and 1940s.

I stick to a classical structure of TTWTTM; tandas of Tango, Tango, Waltz, Tango, Tango, Milonga, divided by Cortinas allowing predictability and structure for the dancers. I use Alternative music carefully as a spicy break to change the mood.

Experience: I started DJing in Stavanger around 2008 and I have been playing weekly at Practica Mondaymood in Oslo since October 2010. www.tangomood.no.

I also DJ sometimes at Tangoskolen and at the regular Sunday practica for OTV Oslo Tangoverksted, as well as other milongas upon request.
